i'm back! i apologize for not updating my blog.
and since i'm here, i'll...
actually i have nothing much to lbog abt. my life is.. a little less exciting.
i'll tell everyone a story then.
once upon a time. there was a boy. he was in high school. he was a genius, called 'Han Tae Woong'.
it was the start of school. and this guy 'Kim Jung -Gyu' who they call "IQ 180 boy genius"
during the first day of class. math teacher gave a question..
If our country(Korea) gets into the round of 16 in the 1998 france world cup,
what will be our achievement in the 2002 korea-japan world cup?
then Jung-Gyu goes to answer the question.( he got it correct, of course)
After answering the question, Tae Woong seemed to have a another opinion.
so the teacher asks him to come up. he then explains that the answer is correct, but the question is wrong.
teacher says "good job!"
Teacher: Do you think that Math is just deducting the answer? Its not
Real mathematics is not about solving the equations.
But to find out what the problems are.
he went to do some errands for his teacher after a few days. and that was when he saw a littel girl.he saw her first when she was making a fuss trying to buy the book called "Snow Queen". he laughed. then, he saved her from being bullied. but the bullies took her money. the little girl was grateful, and i think she liked tae woong that time, and so she gave tae woong her beeper.
then! the teacher asks everyone to write a thesis paper.
everyone was complaining. why do high school students have to write thesis papers?
Tae Woong was totally opposite. he didn't even complain. and yet he finished a "whole number thesis"(which was really hard) in a day. the day the work was assigned.
Jung-Gyu was jealous. he can not lose to anyone in his studies. so he went to find faults for tae woong's thesis. he then find out that a book in the library of the high school had the same equation/working as what tae woong wrote. so he told the teacher.
the teacher scolded him, but tae woong didn't admit to it, and he got angry. his mother even think he stole the idea.
after class, he saw jung-gyu at a corridor. jung gyu insulted him, his parents. tae woong, as a filial boy. couldn't stand anyone insulting his parents. so he WHACKED jung-gyu on the face.
then. tae woong skipped school. this was then tae woong received a message. and the little girl asked him to go to the airport. it was a life and death situation. he chose to rush there asap.
when he reached there, she was intending to go to lapland. a place the Snow Queen lives. she thought her mother died, so she wants to go there to find her mom. (it was quite sad.)
but the counter girl said soneone at least college level(as in age) to be able to let her buy a ticket to Lapland. so she found out he is just a high school student.
they went to a restaurant to eat some food. then when they saw cops. she ran. bringing tae woong along the run.
they ran through the plane runway. and escaped through a small hole at the end of the runway. somewhere at the corner of the runway. he then asked the girl, why she ran. she then cried and talk him the truth, which was because she ran away from home. and her mother died. so she wanted to go to lapland to find her. tae woong also admitted that he too ran away from home. a sad story. the same day, they went to a theme park. and played a lot. she paid for everything. (rich kid-.-).
then it was soon night time. they parted. but when the little girl was almost entering the taxi she hailed,
she told tae woong" you know you made a terrible mistake today.
tae woong: what is it?
girl: you didn't ask for my name. we'll meet another day and i'll tell you my name!
she sits the taxi and then goes home.
a high school girl in tae woong's class found out that tae woong didn't visit the library, because anyone who enters the library has to register. and tae woong's name wasn't inside the registeration book.
tae woong then goes home. meet his mom, who has found out that tae woong didn't lie. the dissertion was his, and he didn't copy it from anywhere.
the next day. tae woong goes to his mom's street hawker to help out. then he forces his mom to go home to rest.
then, jung-gyu found out where the street hawker was found. and buys a bowl of noodle.
then. the loan sharks came. tae woong's mom owed them money. so they came to smash up the place. jung-gyu stood up for tae woong, but got hit back. they got a threashing by the loan sharks. it was soon night. tae woong and jung-gyu cleaned up the place neatly, tae woong asked jung-gyu to go home, but he didn't want to, and helped to clean up the place. then jung-gyu heads home. but he soon turns back, tae woong turns back too. they both had something to say to each other.
tae woong: thanks for protecting my mom's street stall. i am really grateful! but what did you want to say?
jung-gyu: me? i.. am sorry. sorry for making you out to being a thief. and for insulting your parents. to be honest, i came here in the first place to say that. i'll leave now.
tae woong: kim jung-gyu! so.. are we.. friends now..?
jung-gyu: friends? If you realy want to be my friend, why not? great! i'll be your friend!
after he says that, both faces were filled with smiles. then jung-gyu walks away. . .
they became real good friends from then on. the international math olympiad is held that year, and both of them were chosen out of 6 of the final 6 applicants chosen. the teacher then congratulates them. and asks them to work hard.
they then studied together. and got to know each other more through the times of studying.
on one day jung-gyu wanted to introduce him to a girl. a little angel. a pretty and nice angel.
but they soon changed the subject. jung-gyu told tae woong that his dream was to be a boxer, he then tells him about this good boxer called Kim Deuk-Gu. who died the year they were borned, 1982. "kill or be killed"was what Kim Deuk-Gu said before he died.
it was finally the international math olympiad. they did really well. after that, he went to a book store, and found the book "Snow Queen". it was totally covered in dust. tae woong then called the girl's beeper, leaving a message for her, telling her to meet at the park they went on saturday. her operation was scheduled next weekend, but she ran away on saturday.
it is the day the results of the international math olympiad... the one who got the gold is.. Han Tae Woong. he got perfect score. Kim Jung-Gyu on the other hand, was upset. he didn't really congratulate him. he was jealous. he always wanted to win everything. when they presented tae woong the medal, he was depressed.
the next day, jung-gyu was totally different. he became the first time he met tae woong. and of course, he was still jealous of the fact that tae woong won the gold medal. tae woong told him that he was lucky. but he didn't believe.
Jung-Gyu: you feel ood because you beat me, right?! You've beaten the boy genius Kim Jung-Gyu and become the new boy genius. of course you must be exhilarated. How does it eel to be inteviewed in the spotlight? you must in euphoria. the president's scholarship and a reduction in tuition to study in america... Every big company is fighting to subsidize the genius protege! at a time like this, it's not bad to be born in a poor family.
tae woong: jung-gyu.. you.. fine! i'm feeling great. I'm happy because my mom is happy. I'm happy because i got the scholarship, so i don't have to worry about tuition anymore.but i'm not happy because i beat you!! you're more important to me than the Gold, but if you act like this...
Jung-Gyu:Stop pretending to be nice! while you were pretending you don't care about your studies,you were laughing behind my back, right!? watching me talking about fields medal in front of you, you probably thought it was amusing?
Tae woong: Jung-gyu! Why are you doing this!? We're friends.
Jung-gyu: No!! we are not friends!! people only remember the first place winner. as you'er the winner now, we can only be competitors and not friends!
jung-gyu walks away.
Tae woong: Were you always this kind of person, Kim Jung-Gyu? Kim Jung-Gyu... Are you this kind of person?!
Jung-gyu turns back a little
Tae woong: if you were, i don't need this kind of friend either.
tae woong turns back the other way.
tae woong was pretty sad for the quarrel, so he went to buy a boxing glove for jung-gyu. the next day whe he went to jung-gyu's room in the school and placed the glove on the table.
his friend Sang-Ho tells tae woong that jung-gyu died in a traffic accident.
tae woong runs down. crying.. screaming jung-gyu's name. his classmates all pull him back. trying to calm him down.
on jung-gyu's table, there was a note. it says: Tae woong... i won't say that the spiteful things i said to you the other day were completely lies.i envied you and it's true that i resented you for a while. but when i said i didn't thinkof you as a friend, that was a lie. i was in so much pain that i just wanted to say some harsh words. i didn't really mean to hurt you. Congratulations... Tae-Woong! these words are so easy, but why couldn't i say them that day? i wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart. Also... I'm sorry. Sorry, Tae-Woong. Sorry. I'm sorry.
it was the same day. he was supposed to meet the girl. but he was too sad, and let the girl wait for the whole day, and walked home despressed. she missed her operation that day but didn't meet up with him.
8 years later~~~
year 1998, Tae woong was 17 years old then.
it is now 2006
Kim Deuk-Gu has been dead for 25 years, and he is 25 years old as well.
...
he visits a hospital for his friend, a new friend he met in 8 years. he calls him Deuk-Gu though.
it was then a girl was crazy. they call her Bo-Ra.
she broke a glass, took a small piece up and threatened to kill herself.. Duek-Gu(current name) touches her elbow..
..

typing this out really is tiring. took me 1 hour plus. if you guys are interested in this story, tell me. then i'll continue =D
